This work was exhibited at the Whatcom Museum in Bellingham and Melinda Wyatt Gallery in Los Angeles in 1983. Individual pieces are 4" wide and four feet long hung on 18" centers. Exhibit wall was 15% gray. Sticks were aluminum plate painted in lacquer, first black, then a fine silver iridescence, then candy colors, then polished clear lacquer. At a transmitted light angle the colors are very deep, visible mostly as various color temperatures: in reflected light at the top of the sticks individual colors are clearly visible as shone here.
